The opportunity:

We are looking for a UI/UX Designer - AI & Voice to join our dynamic team and redefine human-machine interaction from the ground up. Voice and multi-modal interaction are how most people will first reach our new AI assistant. They will pick up the phone, open a mobile app, or tap a voice button, and within seconds expect an intuitive, fluid conversation that understands them, their home, and their problem. In this role you will own the user experience end-to-end, design how a user interacts with a voice-first system, how that system transitions seamlessly into visual and chat channels, and how complex Generative AI capabilities are translated into simple, magical, and intuitive consumer-facing experiences (B2C) at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

Own the Multi-Modal Experience End-to-End

• Map, architect, and design the entire user journey for our new AI assistant, focusing on Voice User Interface (VUI) and multi-modal handoffs (from voice into camera-based visual sessions and back).

• Design the interaction patterns for realtime voice states: listening, thinking, speaking, turn-taking, and graceful error recovery.

• Create intuitive mobile and web interfaces that make visual and vocal AI collaboration feel natural and effortless for the end-user.

Bridge the Gap Between Humans and AI

• Own over latency perception, conversation flow, and how the UI can mitigate the inherent friction of LLM-driven communication.

• Partner closely with Voice, Frontend, and AI engineers to ensure the product experience is cohesive, deeply conversational, and technically feasible.

• Translate complex technical workflows (like Spatial AI and diagnostics) into clear, actionable, and accessible visual cues.

Drive 0-to-1 Product Strategy

• Take vague, complex problem spaces in a brand-new domain and turn them into concrete, high-fidelity prototypes and production-ready designs.

• Conduct rapid iterative testing to validate conversational and visual paradigms with real users.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience as a Product Designer / UX Designer, with a proven track record of shipping consumer-facing products to millions of users.

• Strong domain experience in the Conversational AI space – a portfolio demonstrating highly intuitive B2C work with voice interfaces (VUI), LLM-driven assistants, chatbots, or multi-modal systems.

• Mastery of UX/UI craft: Exceptional skills in high-fidelity prototyping, micro-interactions, and motion design, with a relentless focus on reducing user friction and cognitive load for everyday consumers.

• Technical Literacy: A solid understanding of the constraints and capabilities of realtime systems, cloud-based applications, and GenAI models. You know how to design with data and engineering limitations in mind.

• Strong ownership mentality: Experience leading design for new initiatives from concept to launch (0 to 1).

Advantages:

• Experience designing for Augmented Reality (AR), Spatial Computing, or computer-vision products.

• Background in UX Research, specifically around conversational workflows and consumer micro-interactions.

• Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) for voice and visual interfaces.
